Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP)

Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) is a sandwich-structured composite material made by bonding two outer layers of aluminum sheet with a middle layer of LDPE (low-density polyethylene) core material (or a mineral-filled fire-retardant core) through continuous extrusion and hot-pressing processes. The surface of the aluminum sheets is coated with fluorocarbon or polyester paint using a roller-coating process. Since its introduction over 50 years ago, aluminum composite panel has been widely favored by property owners, designers, and construction contractors for its lightweight, cost-effective, user-friendly, and durable characteristics.

• Lightweight. Comparing to solid aluminium panels at same thickness, the weight of composite panel is 40% lighter.
• Smooth surface and consistent color within one batch. Composite panel is made with pre-painted roller coating coils, the coating is smooth and color is consistent, while aluminium solid panel is powder coated with a rough surface and color deviation within one batch might be more obvious.
• Lots of color to make it easy to design a good looking building facade.
• Easy to fabricate and install at job site, it can be cut and drill, grooved, bent, no need to pre-fabricated at manufacturer's mill.
• Fireproof. FR B1 is becoming more and more commonly used, and FR A2 grade is created to meet some building which requires a much higher fire safety demand.
